phudl hosts and their guests are able to see the location of other guests (and the host), unless they have requested someone in the group to be blocked from seeing them. Only the most recent location update is ever kept by phudl.r, i.e. there is no "journey" recording or visibility. This tracking is only active for a period of time immediately prior to the event starting and for a short period after it commences. The amount of time prior to the event that tracking is active is set by the host and is at most 12 hours. All guests are able to see this "Tracking Window".
At any time, a guest is able to turn off tracking visibility by other guests and/or the host.
Each phudl has a time at which it is meant to commence. The host can also set a period of time before the phudl starts, during which guest phudl.rs may have their location tracked. This is called the "Tracking Window" and is at most 12 hours. You can of course, opt out of having your location made visible to the host and/or other phudl.rs for any phudl at any time.
When you are looking at the phudl.s that you have been invited to, there is an entry that shows the start time of the phudl. Under this is shown the time that tracking for that phudl will commence. This includes a green icon of a satellite tracking station. If the icon is stationary then the time has not arrived and tracking has not yet started. If the tracking station dish is moving and pulsing, then tracking has started. This does not necessarily mean that you are being tracked. Look at the array of action icons for that phudl. If your tracking/visibility status icon (the stylised eye) is red, then you have disabled all tracking for this phudl and even though tracking for the phudl may have commenced, you will not be tracked. If the eye is orange or green, then you have allowed the host and/or other guests to see your location during the phudl tracking window.
The free plan allows up to two (2) phudlr guests at your monthly phudl, a great way to introduce some friends to the phudl.r app. Then you can choose to upgrade to allow for more phudl.rs (guests) to attend and more phudls.
Yes, you can choose to arrive incognito as a phudl.r avatar. Your host can choose a phudl icon that best represents the phudl. And, guests can choose to have a chaperone 'phudl.rone' to 'virtually' accompany them to the event. A phudl.rone is invisible but will appear if you need them. The app is focused on safety as well as encouraging a lot of phun, prior, during and after your event!
Phudl.r is also in development of a number of exciting features that will help support your event and give a more holistic experience to the phudl (event).
Yes, if you have opted in for that option. However, if you didn't, then you can easily turn it on at anytime.
When you first create your account you are required to enter a name for yourself, i.e. your phudl.r name. If you want, you can add your real name later in your profile. The phudl.r name is visible to all other phudl.rs. Create a fun name that other phudl.rs will get to know you by. When you are using the free version of phudl.r, you are able to change this name once after first creating your account. Additionally, a subscribed account is able to change their name once every six months. There is also an in-app token available for purchase that enables you to change your phudl.r name.
All phudl.s have some limitations on them, e.g. how many invitations you are allowed to send out for that phudl. This limit can be set either from upgrading the phudl itself or by subscribing to a certain level of the phudl.r app, i.e. your phudl.r level. The limits for a phudl are always the maximum value from the phudl or your phudl.r level.
A phudl normally takes on the limits provided by your phudl.r level, "FREE", "BASIC", "STANDARD", or "PREMIUM". If you are using a "STANDARD" account and create a phudl, you can invite up to 10 guests to that phudl. If you then change your subscription back to a "BASIC" account, that phudl would only allow 4 phudl.rs and, if you had invited more, the phudl would then be "overloaded".
A phudl that has been specifically upgraded (purchased) to a "STANDARD" phudl, will always be able to have at least 10 guests, even if you have not subscribed to the phudl app. If you then subscribe to the "PREMIUM" phudl package, you would be able to invite up to 25 guests to that same phudl. Lets say you invite 13 in total. Later, if you decide to end your subscription and move back to the FREE level, then your "STANDARD" phudl would be overloaded because it has 13 guests and is only allowed to have 10. You will be locked out of most actions on this phudl until you either subscribe back to a high enough level or further upgrade the phudl itself to cover the 13 guests.
